A profound red with plenty of regional character and floral notes with heightened acidity that adds brightness. Polished and firm tannins carry the round and ripe red fruit flavors through to a balanced and elegant finish.
James Suckling 91 points - Lots of fruit here with dried berry, lemon peel and hints of mahogany. Full body, round and velvety tannins and a clean finish. Drink now.
Wine Spectator 89 points - Lean and taut, offering cherry, blackberry, spice, earth and leather notes. Tightens up on the finish, but should improve over the short term. Best from 2017 through 2023. 15,000 cases made.

Grapes are grown on 42 hectares (104 acres) of vineyards planted at a density of 3,000-5,000 vines per hectare, 300-400 meters (985-1,312 feet) above sea level. The soil is mainly soft clay, with some skeletal components.
|Wine maker notes
|Grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature for 18-22 days. The wine is aged in oak for 14–16 months, two thirds in French barriques and tonneaux (80% used) and one third in traditional casks.
|Enjoy with grilled meats, game and aged cheese.
