Pale golden color, with green hue. Complex aromas of green apples, grassy, citrus and tropical fruits; white flowers show up in a second layer. Mouth filling sensation with crispy acidity. Elegant, balanced and pleasant aftertaste with a salty after taste.
Wine Spectator 89 points - This focused white shows balance and intensity. The peach, lime and briny flavors are restrained but lively, with enough body to match with food. Drink now through 2018. 10,000 cases made. -TM  (Dec 15 2015)

Wine maker notes
Harvested by hand, destemmed, and cooled below 10C/50F. After a gentle maceration of 8 hours before the ferment, the primary aromas, and structure of the albarino grape are amplified. Temperature controlled ferments in stainless steel tanks, and a minimum lees contact of 4 months before bottling. Free run juices, and very gentle pressings are blended, achieving as a result an outstanding high end classic style “albarino” from the genuine Salnes Valley. A powerful nose, refreshing acidity and a salty aftertaste are the main features of this wine.

The Granbazan wine project started in 1981 with a clear objective: the excellence. This elite grape and fine wine production project started in the smallholdings of Galicia. The scientific plantation situated in Tremoedo was created using cutting edge technology which was the subject of contradictions and conflicting predictions with the local growers. The albarino wine had become a myth thanks to both the songs of poets and to the thirst and faith of the people of Cambados. However, its consumption and distribution was a big challenge which required guidance and recommendation. Bottles were not labeled and the small family cellars, in spite of their discovery, did not have enough means or knowledge to offer reliable wines. Here, from the origins of Agro de Bazan, we feel proud to have made an active and strong contribution to the most relevant agro-industrial revolution in the history of Galicia; taking the Rias Baixas wines to the top ranks, between the best white wines in the world. This is thanks to our role as pioneers in many fields: a strong investment made on hiring a team of technological-oenologists, the development of the cold maceration process, making two types of wine according to the process and quality selection and making the first albarino wine matured in French oak barrels. To sum up, for all these reasons, in particularly due to a professional, creative and strict management, we have been, and still are to this day, a strong reference for white wines from the mythical “Finisterre” Cape.
