Bodegas Naia Naiades 2005
Wine Advocate The barrel-fermented 2005 Naia Des is sourced from a single parcel of 80- to 100-year-old, ungrafted, Verdejo vines located in La Seca, a village which the locals consider to be the “grand cru” of Rueda. Light gold-colored, it exhibits an attractive perfume of vanilla spice, lemon-lime and honeysuckle. This is followed by a medium-bodied wine with an intense entry, mouth-filling fruit, and excellent balance. Drink this fleshy, tasty effort over the next 12-18 months. Score: 91. —Jay Miller, February 28, 2007. Wine Spectator This big white delivers vanilla notes from oak that mingle with pear, pine and floral flavors. Plush, yet with enough acidity to remain firm and focused. A modern style. Verdejo. Drink now through 2010. Score: 91. —Thomas Matthews, October 15, 2007. All sizes are 750mL unless otherwise noted. |
