WINES MAY BE SOLD AND DELIVERED ONLY TO A PERSON WHO IS AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD. IN PLACING YOUR ORDER, YOU REPRESENT TO US THAT YOU ARE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD AND THE PERSON TO WHOM THE WINE WILL BE DELIVERED TO IS ALSO 21 YEARS OLD. At the time of delivery, all shipments containing alcohol require the signature of an adult who must show identification proving he or she is at least 21 years old.

Shipping to a BUSINESS ADDRESS is strongly recommended, since an adult signature is required at time of delivery.

Shipping
We accept online orders for wine shipping to most states, however, due to changing direct-shipping laws and regulations, the list of states that we ship to may change at any time. We will contact you by email if your order is negatively affected by new shipping regulations. All wines are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California. We make no representation as to the rights of anyone to import wine into any state outside of California. The Wine Club, Inc. takes reasonable precautions to ensure safe, temporary storage/staging of purchased goods as, from time to time, requested by our customers. There is a charge for such temporary storage/staging. The Wine Club Inc. assumes no liability whatsoever for any loss, deterioration or damage to the goods stored or staged, caused by conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, wars, insurrections, natural disasters or the reckless, negligent or intentional acts of third parties.

Accessories Only

For items shipping to addresses within the 48 contiguous states, the cost for standard shipping, handling, and insurance is shown in the chart below. Some items require additional shipping. Shipping for large items will be quoted at the time of order and will vary according to the destination. Products to be shipped outside the 48 contiguous states (including AK, HI, PR and APO/FPO addresses) require additional shipping charges that will be billed to your credit card. You must provide us with your street address, as UPS will not deliver to a P.O. Box.

DELIVERY & RUSH ORDERS

Most stock items are shipped within 48 hours and will arrive in approximately 7 working days. Most items are shipped by UPS or USPS. Large/oversized items are shipped via Motor Freight. However, if you need it immediately, please ask about our Next Day and 2nd Day Air charges. You will be notified of any delay over 30 days.

Processing Time
It is our goal to process and ship all orders as quickly as possible. Most orders will be processed within 24-48 hours of being placed. There are several factors that contribute to when you will receive your order once it has been placed.

The timing in which your order is processed is determined by the accuracy of the information provided on the order, when the order is placed, order volume, and stock availability.

  • It is imperative that all information included on the order is complete and accurate. Incomplete or inaccurate billing or shipping information on orders will result in a delay in processing and additional shipping charges.
  • Since wine is vulnerable to extremes in temperature, and we have no control of the conditions of a carriers warehousing facility, the day in which your order is processed may affect when you receive it. Orders placed in the later part of the week will be held until the beginning of the following week.
  • If your order includes an item that is temporarily out-of-stock, but due to arrive within a few days, it will be delayed in an effort to ship the complete order. In that event we will attempt to notify you by e-mail of the delay.

Shipping & Weather

Extreme weather conditions can affect your wine. High temperatures may cause your wine to leak or extreme cold can freeze your wine during shipment. Please keep in mind that the the Wine Club is not responsible for, and will not replace, wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions. By placing an online order you are accepting the responsibility for that shipment through whatever weather conditions may occur during that shipment. If you live in an area where the current ambient temperature is near freezing in Winter or above 75 degrees in Summer we suggest you select either 1 or 2 day shipping and be absolutely sure that an adult is available to sign for the shipment when it arrives on the scheduled day .

If you are experiencing extreme temperatures now but would like to order wines that may not be available later on, we offer a service called Temp Storage. Just select the "Pick Up in Santa Ana" shipping option and add a comment to your order at checkout (if you forget, send an e-mail to sales@thewineclub.com right away) advising us that you'd like to wait until the weather breaks to ship. For each month that you plan to keep the wine here, we will add a 5 dollar storage fee per each 12 bottle case (or portion of), and we will keep it here until you call us to set up shipping. Shipping arrangements must be set up by May 31st (for cold weather storage) or October 31st (for summer storage) or additional charges will be applied.

Notable Information

Inventory Notes
Although the online inventory is always being maintained and updated, there are certain situations that may occur that are out of our control. Given the high volume nature of our business and the finite availability of some wines, please be aware that without notice there may be a vintage change or an out-of-stock situation with any of the wines that you order. Should that happen we would notify you by e-mail before your order is processed.

Prices & Availability
All prices are subject to change without notice. Availability is subject to stock on hand. We are not responsible for typographical errors and reserve the right to correct any errors in pricing. We also reserve the right to limit quantities.

Sales Tax
California state sales tax of 7.75% will be applied to all orders shipping within California. New Hampshire state sales tax of 7.75% will be applied to all orders shipping to New Hampshire. Texas state sales tax of 7% on only accessories items will be applied to all orders shipping to Texas.

Returns & Cancellations
BY LAW, we are unable to accept returns on wine unless the product is corked or flawed.  We are also unable to accept returns on wine that has been damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment. There will be a 10% restocking fee on all cancelled orders. Futures and pre-arrivals cannot be cancelled once order has been confirmed.

Privacy Policy
It has always been The Wine Club policy to keep our mailing list and all customer information confidential. We do not share or sell our mailing list or customer information with any other organizations.

Security
All orders placed on The Wine Club website are secure. Orders are encrypted and transmitted through the use of SSL (secure socket layer) protocol. Therefore all personal information and credit card numbers are safe when being transmitted over the Internet.
