When I first opened this bottle, I stepped back and said, “Whoa”. Voluptuous red fruits on the nose with hints of the 100% French oak. There are tons of red currants, jammy pomegranate, dark cherry and cocoa, along with hints of vanilla, spice and mint. There is an elegant structure all through with hefty tannins in the middle and on the finish. Winemaker Linda Trotta believes it will hit its peak in 2010, but will continue to show well through 2017.
