Schild’s Barossa Shiraz has been on a roll the last few years, with the 05 making Wine Spectator’s Top 100 for 2007. The 2006 version is excellent Shiraz, loaded with bright cherry and raspberry, good bits of peppery spice and nice hints of cocoa. This is not a wimpy wine, but, it is not over the top either, just a really nice big full bodied Shiraz that will give you lots of pleasure and at this price it won’t break the bank.
