"A Napa Classic: Sourced from their vineyard in southern Napa Valley, very near the San Pablo Bay. This cool climate creates a perfect situation for some very tasty grapes. The goal of winemaker Dave Guffy is to produce a Chardonnay that has seamless balance between fruit, oak, buttery elements and mineral accents. To achieve this goal, the wine is tasted frequently at various stages to bring about an end product that is rich and appealing without being too heavy handed. Lush ripe apple, pear, lemon-lime, and spice are accented by subtle toasty oak and a rich mineral mouthfeel.

Intense, concentrated and tightly focused, with a creamy mouthfeel to the lively layers of citrus, green apple, melon and herb scents. Shows a hint of mineral and spice on the aftertaste. Great length and persistence. Drink now through 2010. 28,000 cases made.
