"Cordon Rouge is a lovely yellow golden color. The bouquet is fruity, subtle, creamy and refined. On the palate, Cordon Rouge is a delicate harmony of softness, complexity and elegance. Each cuvée is ready to drink upon release and will remain at its peak for at least two years, if properly stored. Wine Enthusiast Mumm makes a mighty fine mid-priced bottle, with plenty of toasty flavor to lift it into an orbit close to where the big boys fly. The fruit is on the lighter side, but crisply defined, and it segues into the round, satisfying flavors of older, more mature Champagne.
